Mended Little Hearts of Central Virginia

Mission Statement

Mended Little Hearts of Central Virginia is a local group of a nationwide organization for parents, caregivers, and families of children with heart defects/disease. We provide hope, resources and a caring support network to help families work through overwhelming emotions, vital medical decisions, and move forward to find laughter, healing and hope.

History

Mended Little Hearts of Richmond had its organization meeting in September of 2005 and was chartered in November 2005. The Mended Hearts chapter of Richmond, through Jerry Grossman and Mary Shreve, were the catalysts for getting this important support group going. Dr. William Moskowitz contacted Mended Hearts about providing a support group for the families that he deals with day-to-day, and Mr. Grossman and Ms. Shreve responded by working hard to help Mended Little Hearts of Richmond get started.
